KAIT CURRY

Kait has been in the Veterinary field for the past 22 years and has spent most of that time working in feline only practices. She hopes to specialize in feline medicine as a certified veterinary technician. In her free time she likes to travel, go to as many Phillies games as she can and spend time with her husband, her goofy lab-mix Paisley, and their three cats.

LORI HORWEDEL

Lori has been working in the veterinary world in some capacity for over 25 years, and has been focused on feline medicine and feline-friendly handling for the past two decades. In addition to a passion for making cats' visits as stress-free as possible and making sure they receive the best care, Lori enjoys photography and manages our social media accounts. Outside of work, they curate a never-ending to-read list (and a more finite, but still long “read” list), sing in a queer chorus, and spend too much time playing video games. Lori shares her home with wonderful human partner, five opinionated cats, an equally opinioinated border collie, a redfoot tortoise, and a goofy fancy goldfish named Bjorn.

CEIL PASQUARELLO

Born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love, Ceil comes from a customer service/hospitality background. She finally found a home in the veterinary field and has never looked back. She especially enjoys meeting all the new feline patients and interacting with their human companions. When not at work she lives with three feline boys and enjoys playing video games and socializing with friends.

PRISCILLA PARSHALL

Priscilla, a native upstate New Yorker has been a licensed Veterinary technician since graduating in 2004. She made the move to Philadelphia in 2006 and has worked in a neighborhood small animal practice ever since. She joined the CCV team in December 2016 and enjoys biking to work and maintaining all the greenery inside and outside of the practice.  Priscilla lives in Queen Village with her husband, two boys, one hound dog, two cats, and a guinea pig. She loves cats so much she’ll often be seen biking around, caring for cats in their homes while their humans travel. In her down time, Priscilla enjoys sewing, gardening, knitting, and attending ballet class.

Kristin Nye

Kristin, a recent transplant from Delaware, has over 20 years of experience in animal care. She’s worked with exotics, pocket pets, birds, as well as cats and dogs. Her proudest moment was doing volunteer disaster relief in North Carolina, where she helped save lost pets and reunite them with their families. On her personal time she enjoys spending quality time with her family: her cats (Ani, Miller Time, Ember, and Romeo) and her dog, Rooster.

Chryste Call

Chryste moved to Philly in 2018 and has collected a lot of cats since then. Let her know if you want one!

Tortellini

Tortellini joined City Cat Vets in 2017, after she decided that the multi-cat household lifestyle wasn’t her speed. Torts enjoys human attention, lap-sitting, drooling like a leaky faucet, and lunch naps with Lori. She loves meeting clients, but tries her best to ward off cats with her urine (so she’s kept off the clinic floor as much as possible). Tortie is a fantastic educator and tolerates all kinds of silliness when helping our staff teach owners how to manage their pets’ care.

Markie

Markie joined the City Cat Vets crew in 2021, when his health issues became more than his family could handle. He had a painful orthopedic issue that required a specialty surgery and months of aftercare, as well as cerabellar hypoplasia (wobbly cat syndrome) and kidney disease. During his recovery time with us, it became apparent that Markie was here to stay. Markie is a mercurial little weirdo who can go from snuggly to bitey in a flash; lucky for him his good looks and sometimes-charm work to his advantage. When he’s not occupied with smelling human feet or shoving pipe cleaners under the bathroom door, he can be found supervising the staff from the hallway staircase.
